OpMon Traffic Analyzer has a feature called “Resolve IPs”, and this feature is very useful for that you can fastly identify the name of equipment.
To activate this feature is very simply, just click on “Resolve IPs” on OpMon Traffic Analyzer’s filter area, acording shown the example below:
It is important highlight that by enabling this function of name resolution, will be use preferably the DNS to consult the name corresponding to the IP, but if can’t resolve by DNS, will be used NetBios configuration from DHCP Server, which in this case is only available for Windows devices. Therefore, if in any of these cases OpMon Traffic Analyzer can’t identify the name it will maintain the IP.
